metasequoia, hostas, sunlightURI Botanical Gardens Blog posts the  observations, thoughts, and photos of the Gardener. Visitors to the  Garden and Conservatory often say “That must be a great job!” Yes, it is! I maintain  4  1/2 acres of sustainably managed gardens and a small (2000 sq ft) conservatory at the University of Rhode Island. It’s located in Kingston, RI, (Zone 6b) at the top of Kingston Hill. The climate is moderated by the Atlantic Ocean and Narragansett Bay, just 8 miles from campus.
